Description: This introductory climbing experience is designed for newcomers and new rock explorers. It starts early in the morning at 8 am with a short instruction on climbing techniques and equipment usage. Participants will then have a warm-up session before they start climbing.

3-Day Climbing Course:

Day 1:

Duration: Full day

Description: The first day of the climbing course begins early in the morning. Participants will receive an introduction to climbing equipment, belaying techniques, and different knots. The morning session will focus on theory, followed by an afternoon of practical application.

Day 2:

Duration: Full day

Description: On the second day, participants will review what was learned on the previous day. Additionally, they will be taught how to "clean a route" and learn how to fall safely while climbing.

Day 3:

Duration: Full day

Description: The third day will focus on teaching participants how to lead a free sport climbing route independently.

Includes: Sandwiches, fruits, and water for all three days.

Hiking

Lower Mountaintop Cross Tour (Cruz 1):

Duration: 3 hours (including 45 mins hike to the top and 30 mins descent)

Description: This tour starts with a 45-minute hike from Las Peñas parking lot through a forest. The ascent is not too steep, but the last 100 meters involve walking on rocks, similar to climbing stairs. Enjoy the stunning view and receive information about the area at the top. The descent takes around 30 minutes.

Upper Mountaintop Cross Tour (Cruz 2):

Duration: 3.5 to 4 hours (including 1 hr and 25 mins hike to the top and 1 hr descent)

Description: The tour starts with a 1 hour and 25-minute hike through a forest from Las Peñas parking lot. The last 20 minutes of the hike are a bit steep but do not require extra fitness levels. Enjoy the good view from the top and spend 1 hour there, with snacks and fruit provided. Receive information about the area before starting the 1-hour descent.

Xhacamay:

Duration: Around 5 hours (including 2.5 hours hike to the top and 1.5 hours walk back)

Description: The tour includes a 2.5-hour hike through a forest from Las Peñas parking lot, covering a distance of around 6 km, which is relatively flat. The last part of the hike goes up steeply, but it is manageable for everyone. Experience different flora at the top, which is around 2900 meters high (like the highest point of Germany!). Snacks and fruit will be provided before you start the 1.5-hour walk back.

2-Day Camping Trip to the Highest Point - "Iglesia Vieja":

a) 1-Day Hiking Trip:

Duration: Full day (approximately 8 am to 3 pm)

Description: Start early at around 7 am, reach the top around 10 am, and start the descent around 1 pm to be back at 3 pm. Snacks and fruit will be provided.

b) Camping Trip:

Duration: 2 days (overnight camping)

Description: Start in the course of the day (before 3 pm, preferably around noon) with hiking gear, food, tents, and blankets. The ascent takes around 3.5 hours. Build the camp and enjoy the beautiful view, including possible sightings of Popocatépetl and the skyscrapers of Mexico City on clear days. During the shooting star season, the experience is said to be magical! The next day includes sunrise views, coffee, breakfast, and the descent, aiming to reach the bottom by around 3 pm. Snacks and fruit will be provided, but participants should bring their own water and extra food supply.
